VOLUNTARY MARKET

Climate changes, global warming and glaciers dissolution are evident consequences of a non-sustainable development model that needs to be reshaped.
The International Community, as agreed in the Kyoto Protocol, is committed to reduce GHG (Greenhouse Gases) emissions in order to fight the greenhouse effect. Measures to be implemented include the promotion of renewable sources, energy efficiency awareness as well as carbon offsetting, a new frontier in the environmental challenge.
In order to preserve the planet’s natural heritage and enhance social welfare, sustainable development must become a driver of companies’ business decisions and people’s everyday lifestyle.
Recently, attention of mass media is developing an increasing interest for climate change and global warming. Companies and public sector started to pay more attention in reducing their environmental impact. Eco-sustainability is also becoming a new and effective Corporate Social Responsibility and Marketing tool.
